Every price
Each service is priced by the unit that matches the work, so it can be compared with any other provider.
| Service | Starting price | How it is priced |
|---|---|---|
| Monthly bookkeeping | $250 | A month |
| Cleanup and catch-up | $250 | One-off, depends on how far behind the books are |
| Work for CPA firms and B2B partners | $12–$15 | An hour |
| Full-time accountant | $1,500 | A month |
| Payroll | Quoted | Alongside your bookkeeping |
| Tax returns, prepared and filed | Quoted | Alongside your bookkeeping |
What each price covers
The starting price is for the service as described below. Anything outside it is quoted before work starts.
- Monthly bookkeeping: transactions coded, every bank and card account reconciled, and a profit and loss statement, balance sheet and cash flow statement, usually between the 5th and 15th of the following month, depending on when documents arrive.
- Cleanup and catch-up: missing and miscategorized entries fixed and every account reconciled, so your tax return can be prepared and filed from accurate books.
- CPA firms: white-label bookkeeping, tax-season preparation, month-end close and staff time, billed by the hour and done in the firm's own systems.
- Full-time accountant: one accountant working only on your books.
- Payroll and tax returns: quoted alongside your bookkeeping. We run payroll, do your tax planning, and prepare and file the return.
What moves the price
Revenue matters less than the amount of work each month. These are the drivers.
- Transactions per month
- Bank, card and loan accounts to reconcile
- Number of entities, such as several LLCs
- Accrual-basis books, inventory or job costing
- Payroll headcount and states
- How far behind the books are when work starts
How it compares with published prices
As of September 2026, these are the starting prices other providers publish on their own pages, except where noted. They are not like-for-like, because each one bundles different work, so compare what is included as well as the number.
An in-house bookkeeper is the other benchmark: the median pay for US bookkeeping, accounting and auditing clerks was $50,670 a year in May 2025, before benefits and software.

Questions to ask any bookkeeper about price
A low monthly number means little until you know what it includes. Ask every provider the same questions, us included.
- Is the price fixed each month, or does it change with transaction volume?
- Is catch-up or cleanup work billed separately, and how is it estimated?
- Are payroll and tax preparation included, or priced on their own?
- Do I keep my own QuickBooks Online or Xero file if I leave?
